Use TunAI in VS Code and JetBrains

Documentation

Use TunAI with Continue

Continue is an open-source AI assistant for VS Code and JetBrains. Add TunAI as a model and chat, edit and apply code with any model we serve, billed to your TunAI balance in TND.

Pick one to fill in the samples, or see all supported models.

1Install Continue

Install the Continue extension from the VS Code marketplace or the JetBrains plugin marketplace.

2Create a key

Create a key on API keys, ideally with a monthly budget, and make sure you have a balance.

3Add TunAI to the config

In Continue, open the settings and choose to edit the config file, usually ~/.continue/config.yaml. Add the model under models::

# ~/.continue/config.yaml
name: My Config
version: 0.0.1
schema: v1
models:
  - name: TunAI <model-id>
    provider: openai
    model: <model-id>
    apiBase: https://api.tunai.tn/v1
    apiKey: YOUR_API_KEY # your sk-tunai-... key
useResponsesApi: false # TunAI serves /chat/completions

To add more models, repeat the block under models: with another id. Keep this file private: it holds your key.

4Pick it and chat

Choose TunAI <model-id> in Continue's model menu and send a message. Each request appears on the Logs page with its cost.

Troubleshooting

Model missing from the menuContinue didn't load the file. Check the indentation under models:, save, and reload the window.
404 on /responsesKeep useResponsesApi: false. Without it Continue calls OpenAI's Responses API for GPT-5 and o-series models, which TunAI doesn't serve.
401 invalid API keyPaste the full sk-tunai-... key into apiKey.
402 insufficient_quotaYour balance is empty or the key reached its monthly budget. Top up on Billing.
404 model_not_foundmodel must be the exact TunAI id. Copy it from Supported models.
